Long before joining the University of Central Florida's Graphic Design program, my mind has revolved around design. It has been the driving force behind my perspective on life and opinion on the world around me.
"That text isn't aligned", "This illustration doesn't match the genre", "Their attention to detail is causing them to miss the big picture"...
What does one do when they categorize how effectively the world around them communicates a visual story? They become a designer to further push the story in the right direction.
When it comes to my design work, I am driven by the ideation and big picture thinking that comes before I actually begin a design. Details are only efficient after you have an aerial view of a project in order to plan for how you are going to achieve it, and that is the strategy behind my design process.
My top 5 strengths according to the StrengthFinder Test are Relator, Responsibility, Ideation, Strategic, and Analytical. My Enneagram is 5w6, and Myers Briggs type is INTJ.
Beyond design, I love music, especially film scores and rock. I have played saxophone for over 10 years. Over the past 12 years, I have had braces 4 times, 1 lower jaw and chin surgery, and as of recently, a jaw joint replacement surgery. I have metal joints, a metal chin—basically half of my lower face is metal!
