BUILDING THE HAUNTED ATTRACTION
I collaborated with a teammate to design and strategize an immersive maze experience. We carefully considered elements like space for actors and guests, actor exits, guest flow, and strategically placed scare points to enhance the suspense. Each group moving through the maze received a unique and engaging journey, with scare points arranged so that each sea monster had a themed zone, making the jumpscares feel fresh and unpredictable.
With a small team and a limited budget, we used stakes and black plastic wrap to construct the walls of the maze. Working from an exact property map, we accurately mapped the layout on the ground using spray paint. This resourceful approach allowed us to deliver a memorable experience that was thoughtfully crafted.
"SHIPREKT" VIDEOS
After weeks of planning, hard work, and dedication, we successfully opened our maze to the public for a three-day event. From the outside, it appeared as a giant black plastic structure, but inside, it transformed into an immersive experience full of life and suspense. We captured walkthroughs, scare moments, and guest interviews to build excitement and promote the event for the following year.
